Types of Ferrosilicon
High-purity ferrosilicon: This type of ferrosilicon has very low levels of impurities and is often used in the production of silicones, semiconductors, and other high-tech applications where purity is crucial.
Low-aluminum ferrosilicon: Aluminum content in ferrosilicon can affect its behavior in certain metallurgical processes. Low-aluminum ferrosilicon is preferred in applications where minimal aluminum content is desired.

Precautions for Use
Appropriate engineering controls: Handle in an enclosing hood with exhaust ventilation.

Precautions for safe handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe dust. Avoid dust formation. Handle under inert gas. Protect from moisture. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
Hygiene measures: Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eating, drinking or smoking and when leaving work.
