S Cored Wire is a special metallurgical material. It uses steel skin as the outer shell and is filled with a specific iron alloy powder as the core material. Its cross section is usually round or rectangular. This wire body is designed for the refining process outside the steelmaking furnace, especially for adding refining agents and alloying agents through the wire feeding method. S Cored Wire can directly add alloying elements to the deep part of the molten steel for deoxidation, desulfurization, degassing and modification of non-metallic inclusions, eliminating the nozzle blockage problem that may occur in aluminum deoxidized steel during continuous casting and ironmaking.

Effect of high-purity sulfide addition
S Cored Wire has a sulfur content of up to 99%, which makes it have an excellent desulfurization effect during the smelting process. Sulfur is an important desulfurization element in the steel smelting process, which can reduce the sulfur content in the steel liquid, thereby improving the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the steel. High-purity sulfur can ensure precise control and efficient desulfurization reaction during the smelting process, avoiding the problem of steel brittleness caused by excessive sulfur content.


Precisely control the amount of addition
S Cored Wire adopts a cored wire structure, which allows the sulfur element to be released stably and evenly. Compared with the traditional powder addition method, the use of cored wire can more accurately control the amount of sulfur added each time, avoiding material waste and smelting fluctuations caused by excessive or insufficient addition. By precisely controlling the amount of addition, S Cored Wire improves the material utilization rate in the production process.


Optimized physical properties
The steel thickness of S Cored Wire is designed to be 0.35-0.40 mm, which can ensure that the wire can withstand high temperatures and stably release core materials during the smelting process. Compared with traditional powder addition materials, cored wire reacts faster and more stably in molten steel, and is not prone to performance fluctuations due to overheating or cooling. In addition, its reel design with an inner diameter of 650mm also helps to maintain the stability of the wire during storage and transportation, and avoid loose or broken coils.
